Richmond H. Saeger House – 1028 Buena Vista

This one and one-half story irregular shaped Tudor Revival/Vernacular style building was built in 1927. The house is one of the earlier homes built in the Angleside neighborhood and shows a slight Tudor influence in the continuation of the roof over the entry, the leaded windows and steeply pitched roof. The house also features unusual windows for the area. The house is virtually intact with only slight modifications. The exterior of the building is clad in 24-inch wood shingle siding and wood shingles covering the gable roof. The original owner, Richmond H. Saeger lost the home in the Depression of 1938 by bank foreclosure. The house was placed on the Shelton Historic Register in October of 1998.
