W. H. Snelgrove House – 611 West
Birch Street
This one and one-half story Craftsman/Bungalow architecture
style residential building was constructed in 1927 and features
typical northwest vernacular architecture. The building has
a side gable design and a project porch with an extended side
gable roof. The porch extends the full length of the façade
and is defined by the roof supported by a colonnade of foursquare
posts. The main entrance to the building is by a single multi-pane,
fully glazed, wood door with broad trim. Windows are one-over-one
double-hung wood sash units. The building was placed on the
Shelton Historic Register in June of 1995.
